On Thursday, June 8 the fifth grade classes spent the day giving back to the school they soon will be leaving forever. All of the students took turns working on three different projects. The first project was building a picnic table that each class designed. Parent volunteers helped the students with the cutting of wood and constructing of the picnic tables. Another project was cleaning up the front entrance of the school. After weeding the gardens the students planted flowers and mulched the beds. The last project involved games of long toss and math activities to determine distances. FMS is so proud of our fifth grade classes and appreciate their efforts.
